The largest event to take to the streets of Liverpool took the crown this week at the Visit England ‘Awards for Excellence’ by winning Tourism Event of the Year Gold Award. The parade was something of a dream people thought they could only ever imagine. The production so beautifully executed, touching the heart’s of the people in the crowd. To this day, people continue to talk about it.
Naturally, we couldn’t wait to delve into this project. Our job was to develop the identity and marketing material of the Giant Spectacular, everything from the typography to the website. We wanted to design an identity that truly connected with the audience whilst also reflecting the WW1 era. You can read more about our branding process and development for the event here.
The event alone attracted over one million visitors to Liverpool during Summer ‘14, with the economic impact of the event at £46m. People flocked to the city from all over the world, from Hong Kong to Australia, to watch the Royal De Luxe’s stunning production of the love story based on the sinking of the famous liner, the Titanic
